About us:

Collate is an Art Magazine based in the Art Capital of the Americas -Miami. Inspired by the concept and in collaboration with Plages Magazine of France, the pages of the Magazine are designed by artists themselves and after the Magazine is printed, the artists interfere with their pages or general pages of the Magazine to create a unique work of art. Upon completion they are then distributed to subscribing Museums, Libraries and Art Collections throughout the world. The balance of the Magazines are sold at Art Fairs, such as Art|Basel, Art Forum in Berlin, Arte Feira of Bologna, and many others.

What is in it for the Artists ?

Many well known Artists have participated in the Plages Movement such as Joseph Buys, Wolf Wostel, Corneille, Bram Bogart, Ben, Ernest Pignon-Ernest and  others. In the inaugural issue of Collate Magazine, artists  such as Purvis Young are participating and many other talented artists. Firstly they have an opportunity to participate in some thing different and fun to do, secondly it is a great opportunity to reach many collections simultaneously and to be exposed to other markets without any cost to the artist. The Magazine is never discarded and will become a reference for years to come in Libraries, Museums and both public and private collections.

How is this Good for the Arts:

We believe that people are groomed over the years to become art lovers, we also believe in creating an entry level for collectors. As such, we turn original works of art into an affordable experience to those that want to begin an art collection and also allow experienced collectors to discover up and coming talents without spending huge sums of money. We believe that every member of society is entitled to his own art collection, some are just not sure how to begin. Now, if you approached a member of the public who wanted to start collecting art at the entry level, one piece could cost them half of their annual salary. But if you told them that for the price of a coffee table book, they could start that collection, you would conquer many new art collectors. That is what Collate Magazine is all about, awakening  the general public to the love of art.

How Can YOU Participate in the the upcoming issues ?

Collate Magazine will be published at least 4 times per year, plus eventually, some special edition issues will also be published. You can complete an application form or you can contact Collate Magazine at    with your idea for the upcoming issues. Artists are never paid for their  participation, but the rewards are many, the chance to meet other great artists, the knowledge that your work will be participating and be exposed to collectors at many international art fairs. Some of the issues will be produced in other cities and countries in the Americas. Some of the issues will be subject oriented and others free style.

Who is behind Collate-Magazine:

Collate Magazine, was born from a challenge of Roberto Gutierrez, founder of the Plages (Magazine) Movement  to a friend and long time collector of Plages Magazine , to create a version of Plages in the Americas. That friend as Trustee of the Barony of Fulwood Trust proposed to the Foundation that it should accept the challenge and  within 3 weeks of that challenge the Inaugural issue of Collate was published. All proceeds  from the sales of Collate Magazine will revert back to the Foundation a not-for-profit Florida Corporation.
